Mourning Dove in the Morning

Here's a painting Maria made of a Mourning Dove perched atop an organ pipe cactus, waking with the rising sun.

    This painting is based on an old photo I took and I think the painting is marvelous too. I'm trying to push her towards avian art more and more...

    Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the encouragement, and of course Maria does too. I hoping that in the future she'll be able to do some smaller paintings that I can raffle off as prizes for quizzes, guest posts, etc.
