I once spent an entire day on foot (18km) in a park in a foreign country that supposedly had several species of vultures, hawks, and diurnal hours, and nary a bird did I see or hear! I just loved it but missed out on seeing Painted Buntings, a species I have yet to add to my life list. I did see my first ever purple galinule there however! And I think that is the same alligator I saw when I was there! ;-) Love the red-shouldered hawk pics and the head shot of the black vulture!
