Missed it by a few minutes the last time I was up there. So I'm waiting until it cools down a tad....which should be soon for us down here. Of the 3 popular locales....Tres Rios, Yuma or San Diego, I prefer San Diego:)
Rohrerbothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02136631378931478644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5791077723521794200.post-64789618466226182582014-09-30T10:29:21.708-07:002014-09-30T10:29:21.708-07:00Cheers Chris,

Those ponds have produced some gems--drainage basins in central AZ are a commodity, apparently also for amateur graffiti artists.

It was very flooded when I returned and no sign of the tortoise, but unless it was raised from a hatchling, it didn't get that big without some know how!Laurence Butlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14766876797454283812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5791077723521794200.post-46517303285632693082014-09-29T21:22:46.166-07:002014-09-29T21:22:46.166-07:00Those ponds can be amazing. With the cooler temps arriving, birding will be again an option. Just not so much into the gang or homeless scene:) That is a very cool find with the tortoise. Let us know what happens....I'm hoping that this turtle is okay out there. I believe terrapin is a term that exclusively belongs to turtles belonging to aquatic environments. Good luck finding the tortoise tomorrow. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
