What I'm noticed though, when birding after work (and thus still wearing a shirt and tie) is that if you walk around in a hurry with a camera and fancy clothes, people assume you're doing something important and don't bother you so much when you trespass into secured areas.

I dipped on a vagrant Varied Thrush this weekend, so I've got northwest envy too.Laurence Butlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14766876797454283812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5791077723521794200.post-33091246627796702132013-12-23T09:31:38.333-07:002013-12-23T09:31:38.333-07:00Cheers Christ. They get some good stuff, even some rarities, and usually ensure better photo-ops than the bigger preserves and what not too.Laurence Butlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14766876797454283812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5791077723521794200.post-49111622418136373232013-12-23T07:47:21.407-07:002013-12-23T07:47:21.407-07:00Haha yes those sparrows do benefit from staying re...Haha yes those sparrows do benefit from staying regular, I'm sure. The parks are a real treat because one never knows when a random bird will show up. I was walking along a pond today and an Eared Grebe popped up right next to me. It was bizarre to be so close to this bird. Hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday. All my best. ChrisRohrerbothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02136631378931478644noreply@blogger.com
